The latest episode of The Big Bang Theory focused on Leonard preparing to give a commencement speech while Sheldon and Howard worked on Raj’s new toy helicopter. When Leonard and Penny are prepared to leave to go to his old high school so he can give the commencement speech, he learns that it has been cancelled. In order to help him, Penny helps to make sure he can still give the speech, all while looking the part.

Meanwhile, Raj gets a new drone helicopter and Sheldon and Howard work together to get the helicopter to work. Just as they are working on it, Raj learns from his father that he is cutting him off financially in order to make his son learn to be responsible.

In the end, Leonard’s commencement speech goes from a typical boring speech to an off-script approach that speaks to the kids who he knows in his own way. Sheldon and Howard go to great lengths to work on the helicopter while Raj works his parents in his own way for his own benefit.

10. Commencement speech

Leonard is getting ready to get on a flight to go give a commencement speech at his old school. Penny is going with them and Sheldon tells Leonard to be careful not to get blinded by one of the pointy hats.

9. Fixing the drone

Howard and Sheldon attempt to fix Raj’s drone helicopter, but they are having issues calibrating it. After they have tried a few times, Howard decides to take it all apart to see if he can figure out the problem.

Boys will be boys...no matter their age.

8. Responsibility

Raj’s father is not happy when he discovers that his son as bought a toy helicopter that he got a bill for. He wants to teach his son to be responsible, so he tells Raj he is cutting him off financially, even when Raj tries to be cute and sway his father.

7. Flight cancelled

Penny and Leonard are leaving their apartments to make their way to the airport. Unfortunately, Leonard gets an alert saying his flight was cancelled due to weather. This disappoints them both since they won’t be able to go back East after all and he will miss the commencement.

6. Penny’s gift

Penny decides to cheer Leonard up by getting him the opportunity to give his commencement speech over Skype. She also bought him a cap and gown, but it is a costume shop outfit that is on the sexy side.

5. Using his mother

Raj calls his mother in an effort to undermine his father and get help so he can keep the helicopter. Of course, this gains his mother sympathy and she ends up calling her ex-husband.

4. Sexy Leonard

Leonard shows off his graduation outfit to Penny, who remarks that he is supposed to be wearing clothes underneath. They exchange flirty banter and he goes to put on some pants even though no one will see his legs.

4. Solving a problem

Howard is feeling the strain of trying to fix the helicopter. He doesn’t want to call tech support for help because he became an engineer so he could fix problems like this.

2. Calling tech support

The guys finally decide to call tech support and just as Howard dials, Raj’s phone rings. It turns out to be his father and Raj manages to save himself from trouble by kissing up to his father much like he did to his mother. Later, they get through to tech support, but have to wait for boring flute music. Of course, they somehow get the helicopter to work, but then it flies out of control.

1. Commencement

Leonard gives his commencement speech and at first, he feels like it is getting boring. He decides to make the speech real and talks to students who aren’t as possible to tell them that they are practicing their own interests and are becoming cooler than they could have imagined. The scene below shows the two afterwards when they face the drone the others have been dealing with.
