TripAdvisor, the website that helps travelers organize their best vacations, has named the best 10 islands to visit and explore in 2015.
The island that was named the No. 1 Travelers’ Choice is Providenciales, part of the Turks and Caicos Islands, which is a British Overseas Territory. It’s the most populous island in the group and features upscale resorts and beautiful beaches at Grace Bay. There is also a coral reef that is easily accessible.
The top ranked U.S. island is Hawaii’s Maui, where you can visit Haleakala National Park and walk on the golden sands.
Roatan in Honduras came in at No. 3, while the Greek island of Santorini was named the fourth best island to visit. Ko Tao in Thailand rounded out the Top 5.
TripAdvisor also released a list of the top beaches in the U.S. In February, the site ranked Siesta Beach in Florida the best beach in the country. The top-ranked beach in Hawaii was Ka’anapali Beach.
