Vanilla Ice’s burglary charges stemming from last month have been dropped, as long as he pays restitution and completes community service hours.
He was arrested in Florida on charges of residential burglary and grand theft after allegedly stealing furniture, bicycles and other items out of a home he claimed he was in the process of buying and putting them into a property he does own in the same neighborhood.
The “Ice Ice Baby” rapper and The Vanilla Ice Project star has been ordered to pay $1,333 in restitution and complete 100 hours of community service for Habitat for Humanity.
His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told E! News in a statement, "Ice will have no problems completing the community service because he averages 40-60 hours a month already. Good things happen to good people, that's why there was such a great resolution to this case."
As he left jail last month he told reporters it was all a “misunderstanding” and “blown out of proportion” in the media. The case will be dropped entirely in nine months' time as long as he doesn't get arrested again.
