The Voice is down to the top six vocalists but only five could advance to the semi-finals. After an unforgettable night of performances, the top five vocalists were announced but before the news was delivered, many Voice alumni returned to the stage to perform and updated the audience on how their careers have been post the reality competition.

Voice alumni that returned included Vicci Martinez, Avery Wilson, Jacquie Lee from season five and the winner of season seven Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake.

Martinez, who was a fan favorite from season one debuted her new single, “Bad News Breaker” ad Jacquie Lee a former member of Team Christina sang her new single, “Tears Fall.”

The first artist to be saved and to advance to the next round was Sawyer Fredericks from Team Pharrell. Fredricks sang, “Shine On” and “Take Me To The River.” Closely after Fredricks it was announced that Meghan Linsey from Team Blake would be taking the second spot in the semi-finals.

Also advancing was Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharrell. This meant that all of the remaining contestants from both Team Pharrell and Team Blake had advanced to the next round.

With only one spot left in the semi-finals before the instant save, it was announced that Joshua Davis from Team Adam would be moving on. That left India Carney and Kimberly Nichole from Team Christina to both sing for their lives and take part in the Twitter instant save. Carney sang a rendition of Pink’s “Perfect” and Nichole performed a White Stripes classic, “Seven Nation Army.”

In the end, India Carney rounded out the semi-finals sending Nichole home.

All four coaches will be represented in the semi-finals, which will air Monday on NBC.
