Rapper Chinx was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning in a shooting that also injured another person. He was 31-years-old.

According to PIX11, a 911 call came in to police in Briarwood, Queens around 4 am and two victims were found shot in a car. Chinx, whose real name was Lionel Pickens, had been shot in the torso and was taken to Jamaica Medical Center. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.

Another victim was shot in the back and was in critical condition at the same hospital. No one has been arrested and the investigation is still ongoing.

The rapper’s website stated in his biography that he grew up in Queens and collaborated with an artist known as Stack Bundles and later, he would work with French Montana.

New York Daily News reported the victim’s Porsche stopped moving just a block from a Dunkin’ Donuts. Two employees at the coffee shop reportedly saw Pickens when police arrived at the scene and he did not look responsive.

Pickens released his first album in 2009, a solo venture titled Hurry Up & Die Vol. 1: Get Ya Casket On.
