Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing lived up to its title this weekend as it remained the last show ABC had to make a decision on. The network ultimately decided to renew the show for a fifth season.

Back on Thursday, ABC announced that a whopping 22 shows would be returning in the fall. However, Last Man Standing wasn’t one of them. It looked like it might have been cancelled, especially after its Friday partner Cristella was canned after just one season.

However on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Last Man Standing was finally picked up.

Allen stars in the series as a father with three daughters who is struggling to find some manliness in his world. Nancy Travis co-stars as his wife. It was created by Jack Burditt.

In addition to Cristella, Forever, Resurrection and The Taste were all cancelled. You can check out the list of new shows that will replace them right here.
