Adam Sandler says goodbye to David Letterman in song (Video)

Adam Sandler was the latest celebrity to say goodbye to David Letterman on The Late Show Tuesday night and brought out his guitar. You know what that means... it’s time for another Sandler novelty song.

The song was very similar to his other rambling classics, like “The Chanukah Song.” In it, Sandler listed all the things that Letterman can finally do after retiring, following over 30 years on television. As Sandler notes, Letterman will finally get to have coffee with former rival Jay Leno (“and then secretly pee in his cup”).

Sandler goes on to list the other things that make Letterman so great. Although, sadly, pets who do stupid tricks will have no place to go.

“There simply is no better man, than our hero David Letterman!” Sandler sang.

Letterman’s last episode is on May 20. He will be replaced by Stephen Colbert later this fall.
