AMC is planning to go all out this weekend to make sure people are watching the Mad Men series finale on Sunday. In addition to the expected week-long marathon of Mad Men episodes, AMC’s sister networks will suspend programming during the finale.

AMC Networks told The Hollywood Reporter that BBC America, IFC, WE TV and SundanceTV will not have any programming on during the hour that Mad Men’s finale airs on May 17 at 10 p.m. Instead, the networks will air a special message telling viewers to change the channel.

Variety reports that AMC will also air a five-day celebration of Mad Men, beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. From then on, every episode of the seven-season series will air, leading directly into the finale.

In between episodes, AMC will launch the new Times of Your Life spot, which will be the final commercial for the series. It’s a retrospective piece with highlights from the show. Plus, AMC will air original commercials created when the episodes originally aired, interview footage, fan tributes and other surprises.

Mad Men will finish its acclaimed run with three Golden Globes for Best TV Drama. From 2008 to 2011, the show won Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmys every year. However, star Don Draper and the rest of the cast have never won their own Emmys.
