Amy Schumer’s Inside Amy Schumer series went to another new level last night with one long sketch that is going to be remembered for a long time. She gathered a bunch of male Hollywood stars, including Paul Giamatti and Jeff Goldblum, to debate whether or not she’s hot enough to be on television.
Usually, each episode of Inside includes several sketches, but this one went the full 22 minutes. It was broadcast in black and white and is a parody of the classic 12 Angry Men. Instead of a murder case, the all-male jury has to decide if Schumer can stay on television based on her looks, not on her skills as a comedian.
In one segment, the jury requests to see Schumer’s dildo, figuring that its size will determine Schumer’s f**kablity. However, John Hawkes takes out his own dildo (because him and his wife use it), like how Henry Fonda took out his own knife in the original film. Giamatti (who is standing in for Lee J. Cobb) is adamant that Schumer doesn’t belong on TV, but the jury is split.
