After it was reported that Blues guitarist B.B. King was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack, a message appeared on his Facebook page regarding how he was doing.

As previously reported, King’s daughter, Patty, said that her father had a minor heart attack and she suspected her father was the victim of elder abuse by his manager, Laverne Toney. Patty had filed a claim of elder abuse back in November, but no charges were brought forward.

On Friday, a message was posted on his Facebook page saying, “I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers.”

The Associated Press reported that Toney, who is King’s power-of-attorney said, “Mr. King is where he wishes to be. He’s always told me he doesn’t want to be in a hospital. He wants to be at home.”

After Patty King’s claim of elder abuse, Toney denied those reports. When paramedics arrived to take him to the hospital Thursday, they checked his heart and also treated the guitarist for complications stemming from his diabetes, as well as high blood pressure.
