New allegations are surfacing surrounding the death of blues legend, B.B. King, with his two daughters claiming he was poisoned to death by two of his aides.

On Monday, Lt. Ray Steiber said Las Vegas police homicide detectives are investigating Karen Williams and Patty King’s claims that their father was “murdered” by his business manager, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson.

"I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances," they both said in a statement to the AP through their lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer, adding, "I believe my father was murdered.”

King died earlier this month at his Las Vegas home. His daughters claim they were being kept from visiting him in his final days and made allegations in the days leading up to his death as well. An autopsy has been performed but results won’t be in for another eight weeks or so.

King had Type II Diabetes, but had been in declining health since late last year.

Toney was named executor of King’s estate in his will.
