Ben Stiller paid tribute to his late mother, Anne Meara, after her passing this past weekend at the age of 85.

Along with his father, Jerry Stiller, the Zoolander star released a statement announcing her death.

He then took to Twitter on Monday to thank fans for their support during this difficult time. “Thank you so much for all the kind words about Anne. All of us in our family feel so lucky to have had her in our lives,” he wrote.

“Anne's memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne,” the Stillers said in a statement.

Meara worked alongside her husband on The Ed Sullivan Show as a comedic duo and she went on to star in All My Children, Rhoda and Alf. Her more recent roles include Sex and the City, Jerry’s The King of Queens and her son’s Night at the Museum.
