During the two-part Keeping Up With The Kardashians special About Bruce, which aired on Sunday and Monday, Bruce Jenner got to sit down with every member of the Kardashian family. The second part was particularly poignant, as Bruce sat down with his ex-wife, Kris, and Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian’s longtime boyfriend.

During the conversation with Disick, who didn’t exactly support Bruce’s transition to a woman, Disick got to explain why there was a disconnect between them.

“I felt like for so many years, you know, me and you had a big disconnect and if I would have had any idea of some of the things that you were struggling with, I wouldn't have been so insecure about why we couldn't get along properly, sometimes,” Disick said, notes E! News. “You could do a lot of good and help a lot of people who want to be able to come out and say this that can't.”

However, it looks like Disick has come to terms with the change and is now impressed with Bruce’s decision.

“It's pretty wild that you're going to live two lives in one lifetime," Scott confessed. "I mean not many people can say they did it, which is pretty extraordinary in some ways.”

As The Huffington Post notes, the second part also featured an emotional discussion between Kris and Bruce. The two married in 1991 and split in 2013. During the scene, Bruce read from a prepared statement, telling Kris that everything they did together is still a part of his life.

“In so many ways, I’ve lived my entire life running away from me and who I am. We raised amazing children and those memories will live inside me forever,” Bruce said. “And I will continue to have more of those wonderful memories. And I just want to get through this and do the best damn job of not hurting anybody, and that includes you. And I would hope that you would be on board.”

Kris teared up as she told him, “I think I’m just so confused right now ... I think you shut me out a long time ago. You were angry, made me angry.”

Kris told Bruce that part of the problem was that he never told her about the hormones that he took before they met or that he was transgender. She later said that, although she will miss the Bruce she knew, she hopes he will “Live the happiest life you can live.”

Bruce told Diane Sawyer last month that she considers himself a woman and will be starring in an E! series about his transition, which starts on July 26. However, he has asked that the media continue to use male pronouns to refer to him.
