Chris Soules, the most recent Bachelor star, who competed on this season of Dancing with the Stars, doesn’t exactly support how ABC arrived at their new Bachelorette star, Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Britt Nilsson was sent home on Tuesday night, leaving Bristowe as the one who will attempt to find love this season.
After the announcement, there was some backlash, with some believing it was sexist, degrading and overall a bad idea. Former Bachelor Sean Lowe even called it “disgusting” and Soules somewhat agrees.
He told E! News he’s “glad” Bristowe gets the “opportunity” to fall on love on television like he did but he does think it’s kind of “awkward" that the men had to choose between the ladies.
“They both deserve that opportunity, but Kaitlyn's fun. She's fun to watch. She's hilarious,” he said, adding, “It makes somewhat good TV, but it's just very awkward."
Soules is still engaged to his season’s winner, Witney Bischoff.
