After things didn’t work out with the famous people he dated, Ed Sheeran’s friends are tying to set him up with women who aren’t in the spotlight.
According to Mirror, Sheeran’s buddies are trying to get him back into the dating game after he and his girlfriend, Athina Andrelos, split in February.

A source told the website, “Ed’s mates weren’t too keen on Athina and weren’t disappointed when they split after the Brit Awards. It’s very unlikely they’ll be getting back together.”
“His friends want to set him up with a new girl and have their eye on a few people they’ve mentioned to him but he’s very picky for obvious reasons.”
Earlier this month, the singer said in an interview that he doesn’t want to date anyone who’s famous – but it’s tricky because everyone knows who he is.
“Ed doesn’t want a famous girlfriend, he just wants someone down to earth and normal to share his life with,” the source added.
"His friends are looking out for him and don't want him to be with anyone who just wants to be with him because he's famous."
However the singer made it very clear this week while on air with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” in New York City that he won’t be hooking up with his BFF and collab partner, Taylor Swift, People reports.
"I feel like we look like cast members of The Hobbit," he said.
"She's like in the elven kingdom. She's hanging out with Galadriel and stuff, and I've got hairy feet."
When the host asked Sheeran if he and the “Bad Blood” singer ever smashed, he quickly replied no.
"I think it's healthy to have female friends that you don't smash," he said.
