Eva Mendes isn’t stressing out about her first Mother’s Day she will spend with her daughter with Ryan Gosling, Esmeralda, because she doesn’t feel like she’s had enough experience yet to celebrate.
Mendes gave birth to Esmeralda Amada Gosling seven months ago and has been gushing about motherhood ever since.
She now tells Access Hollywood of her Mother’s Day plans, “I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way.”
Mendes, 41, added that this year it’s “all about” her own mother, who has had a difficult year.
"She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her. We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love,” she explained.
We’re sure Gosling, who she started dating in 2011, has something up his sleeve for her first Mother’s Day.
