Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg paid tribute to her late husband, CEO of SurveyMonkey, Dave Sandberg, on the day of his funeral on Tuesday.
In a Facebook post, she thanked everyone who wished her well over these past few days. He died at the age of 47 on Friday after falling on a treadmill at a hotel gym in Mexico.
"I want to thank all of our friends and family for the outpouring of love over the past few days. It has been extraordinary - and each story you have shared will help keep Dave alive in our hearts and memories," she wrote.
She went on to call him her “rock," saying she's “grateful for every minute we had” together. They share two children.
“We had 11 truly joyful years of the deepest love, happiest marriage, and truest partnership that I could imagine,” she continued to write. “He gave me the experience of being deeply understood, truly supported and completely and utterly loved – and I will carry that with me always. Most importantly, he gave me the two most amazing children in the world.”
ABC News reports Goldberg was honored by prominent figures like President Obama and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg after his sudden death.
