Ex-NFL player and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez has been charged with witness intimidation for allegedly shooting a man in the eye.

The charges for the former New England Patriots tight end, who is currently serving his prison sentence, continue to add up. As NECN reported, Hernandez has been charged with witness intimidation for allegedly shooting a Hartford, Connecticut man in the eye.

The Suffolk District Attorney's Office did not release the name of the witness, but many believe that it is Alexander Bradley, a man who has already filed a lawsuit against Hernandez.

Bradley is expected to be a key witness in the upcoming double-murder trial in which the former athlete is accused of shooting two men outside a Boston nightclub in 2012. Bradley was reportedly present at the time of the shootings.

For the latest trial, Hernandez is now facing the new witness intimidation charge, two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed assault with intent to murder and a single count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Last month, the 25-year-old was found guilty for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

The one-time NFL superstar will never be a free man again as he is serving out a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
