For fans of the Fox show Glee hoping for a spin off series after the show came to an end, that is not looking like a possibility. Kevin McHale, one of the stars of Glee, was interviewed on The HuffPost Show and explained that "the show went off the air for a reason."

The Huffington Post reported that McHale was asked about the possibility of a Glee spin off. "Towards the end, there weren't that many people watching 'Glee.' So I don't know how many people would then watch a spin off. We're off the air for a reason."

McHale explained that after the passing of co-star Cory Monteith, the wasn't able to fully recover because the show had been heading in one direction with Monteith's character and after that everything changed gears. He explained that it was hard for the writers to create a different direction for the characters on the show.

The final season of Glee saw a drop off in the ratings but the series finale saw a slight increase ending with 2.6 million viewers, The Hollywood Reporter added.
