It was a star-studded night on Thursday for NBC’s Red Nose Day fundraiser to raise money for impoverished kids across the world but the event didn’t exactly go off without a hitch.
Gwyneth Paltrow was introduced by host, Seth Meyers, for what he called the "biggest entrance" of the evening. She appeared dangling on a harness above the stage at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom but soon revealed there were some technical difficulties involved.
"Oh God, I'm stuck. This worked much better in rehearsal,” she said while dangling in a black jumpsuit and heels, People reports.
She still managed to deliver her lines, after which she joked, "I think we pulled it off.” Meyers replied, "No, I think everyone noticed.”
Paltrow also participated in a skit with Rose Byrne later in the night. Her ex-husband, Chris Martin, participated in a Game of Thrones-themed skit.
Daily Mail reports Red Nose Day’s efforts helped out 12 charities for poor children.
