Gwyneth Paltrow gets a lot of heat in the media for comments she makes, but her mom, Blythe Danner, is coming to her defense. While promoting her film I’ll See You In My Dreams, Danner talked about her Oscar-winning daughter with Natalie Morales on the Today Show.
Paltrow upset a lot of working moms with her comments comparing being an actress to moms who work 9-5 jobs and angered others for her comments comparing negativity in the media to war.
But Danner told Morales she doesn’t pay attention to anything written about her daughter on social media, saying it's written to “sell papers or whatever that's called over the Internet.”
“I know that she's the most extraordinary girl who can do everything. Incredible mother! She's raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for my husband's oral cancer foundation—things she doesn't talk about a lot,” she continued, E! Online reports.
“She's becoming a great environmentalist. I'm so proud of her. I think she's so accomplished that people get kind of intimidated by it. Great cook, great mom, great actress,” she concluded.
