Pitch Perfect 2 star Hailee Steinfeld is continuing her work in the music industry. The young star has just signed with Republic Records Music Label.
Just Jared reported that Steinfeld has been working on her debut album and is spending time in the studio with Harvey Mason, The Futuristics, Mattman & Robin from MXM.
Charlie Walk, Republic Records executive vice president, explained that the from the moment they met Hailee they knew this was a musical collaboration they wanted to form and explore. “The moment that we met Hailee, we found her commitment to music inspiring. She has the vision, natural talent and dedication to compete at the highest level. We are thrilled to be a part of her musical journey," said Walk.
Pitch Perfect 2 opened at the top of the domestic box office and the soundtrack to the film earned the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200 list, Time reported. The soundtrack has already sold over 107,000 copies and this marks the third soundtrack to make it to the top spot on the charts. The soundtrack to Empire and Furious 7 also reached that spot.
