Today would have marked the 86th birthday for the incomparable Audrey Hepburn.
Hepburn was born May 4, 1929 and died January 20, 1993 of cancer at the age of 63.
Hepburn graced the stage, Hollywood and our hearts with her outstanding talent, beauty and fashion style. We have had the privilege of hearing the mere flower girl - as I like to refer to her - sing her heart out in many great roles. For example, Eliza Doolittle, being one of those brilliant and life-changing roles.
Hepburn was a British actress and humanitarian. She made history with being placed in the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. She was the first actress to win an Oscar, Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for a single performance. Did you know that she was a trained ballet dancer?
She spent less time on screen as her life progressed because she devoted most of her later life to UNICEF. She was awarded a prestigious award for her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador one month before she died.
In honor of this natural beauty and all-around spectacular woman, we will remember her for her wonderful and "loverly" films.
