You can’t keep a pilot grounded too long, even when he happens to be a famous actor. Harrison Ford is back in the air, just three months after he was involved in a small plane crash.

Ford is still recovering from injuries he sustained on March 5, when he crashed a World War II-era plane at a Venice, California golf course shortly after takeoff. However, on Thursday, he was spotted at the Santa Monica Airport, where he took off in a green helicopter.

“He seemed fine,” a witness told ABC News. “He was walking a little steady, taking it easy.

Ford, 72, was seen using a golf cart to get around the airport. He only flew in the helicopter for a half hour before landing.

“Harrison was very, very happy to be back at the airport,” one source told People. “He kept smiling and, although walking with a slight limp, looked great.”

Ford will be seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Dec. 18, playing Han Solo for the first time in over three decades. The actor also suffered an injury while making the film last year.
