Jennifer Lopez has confirmed her upcoming Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino during Tuesday’s episode of American Idol.
After months of rumors, Lopez, 45, confirmed she will kick off her residency on Jan. 20, 2016.
"[It's] just the idea of creating the show I always wanted to create. A tour is a different animal and to be in the one place doing a show that I've always imagined creating at this moment in my life — I'm very excited about it," she explained, Us Magazine reports.
She went on to say the show will be “high-energy,” with all the elements that make up a classic Lopez performance: "dancers, hip-hop” and more.
For those hoping to secure tickets, they will go on sale this week, on May 16.
After the announcement she took to Instagram to tease a video. “So excited!!! This is going to be the show I've always dreamed of creating. Tickets on sale Saturday, May 16.#JLoVegas,” she wrote.
