Jennifer Lopez once again paid homage to the late Selena Quintanilla at the Latin Billboard Awards on Thursday night, performing several of her hit songs.
Her tribute was announced last month, with Lopez saying in a statement it’s a “great honor” to pay tribute to the singer 20 years after her death.
Lopez performed a medley of songs like "Bidi Bidi Bom Bpm," "Amor Prohibido," "I Could Fall In Love," “Como La Flor” and "No Me Queda Mas,” Billboard reports. She also changed three times during the set without even leaving the stage.
At the conclusion of her performance, she emotionally embraced Quintanilla’s siblings; her sister, Suzette and her brother A.B.
She took to social media afterwards and wrote, “Tonight was so special. Thank you @Telemundo @LatinBillboards & the @SelenaLaLeyenda family #SelenaForever.”
Lopez famously portrayed Quintanilla on screen in the 1997 film Selena. Quintanilla was murdered at the age of 23 by her fan club president.
