Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are officially not returning for the Full House sequel series Fuller House, a decision that has clearly left John Stamos devastated.
Earlier this week, a Fox411 report said that the twins, now 28, will not be in Fuller House. On Friday, executive producer Robert L. Boyett confirmed the news in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” Boyett said. “It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.”
Stamos, the driving force of the revival, later took to Twitter with a one-word message that just read “heartbroken.” He later added:

Stamos confirmed that Fuller House is happening last month. The series will star Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. Tanner and Jodie Sweetin as her younger sister Stephanie. Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin are in talks to return, while Dave Coulier has already committed.
Fuller House is expected to hit Netflix next year.
