Mama June, the matriarch of TLC’s now-cancelled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, is now threatening the network in light of 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar’s past sexual abuse allegations going public.
The severity of Duggar’s case became public on Thursday, although it happened in 2005, when it was revealed he had fondled five underage girls, including some of his own sisters.
He has since apologized, but that’s not enough for Shannon, whose own show was cancelled because of her own sexual abuse case, involving her ex and her oldest daughter.
Shannon’s family’s show was cancelled because she was seen out with Mark McDaniel, the man convicted of sexually molesting her then-8 year old daughter, Anna, but Shannon claims the Duggars’ situation is much worse.
She told TMZ she’s preparing to sue the network for keeping the show on the air but canceling hers within hours, when the accused molester is an integral part of the show but Mark McDaniel was never on hers.
"I read that the Duggar family said, this happening with their son brought them closer to God and each other. So they're saying it's ok to have family touch time? Hell no,” she said.
She took to Twitter to write, “But I wasn't dating one and no they r going to not cancel them it's f****ed up @TLC .”
