Seems like David Schwimmer has a new friend.

As we previously reported, Schwimmer will play the late Robert Kardashian in FX’s highly anticipated new series American Crime Story. This true crime anthology focuses on the O.J. Simpson murder trial through the lens of Jeffery Toobin’s book based on his coverage for The New Yorker.

According to E Online, Schwimmer spoke with Kris Jenner on the phone to help him take on the role of the famous defense lawyer.

"I was lucky enough to speak with Kris for a few hours," Schwimmer told E! News’ Kristin Dos Santos, “She was very generous with her time, just telling me about who Robert was."

On Monday, news broke that Selma Blair will play the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, who was married to Kardashian during the infamous trial.

“I'm excited to explore that relationship with Selma,” said Schwimmer, “She's fantastic."

Jenner took to Instagram to praise Blair's casting and show off the uncanny resemblance between the two.

The series, which is being directed by Ryan Murphy, has begun shooting in L.A. and features an all-star cast including John Travolta, Sara Paulson, Connie Britton and Cuba Gooding Jr.
