Lea Michele paid tribute to the late Cory Monteith on his would-be 33rd birthday, posting a sweet message on social media.
Michele and Monteith were dating and co-starred on Fox’s Glee at the time of his untimely death in 2013.
On Monday, she tweeted, “I know you're serenading everyone right now.. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday,” along with a photo of Monteith playing the drums.
The cast of Glee honored Monteith on the show’s series finale back in March and another co-star, Kevin McHale, revealed recently he believes Monteith’s death ultimately sealed the fate of the show.
McHale recently told The HuffPost Show that Glee never recovered after his death.
“It wasn't for a lack of trying, but the story was going in one direction with this character and he was one of two main characters on the show,” he said. “So I think after that, just the vibe on set was different."
