Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas residency is off to a rough start. The singer had to cancel her show last night due to bronchitis.

Us Weekly reported that the “We Belong Together” singer was put under strict orders from her doctor to not to use her voice due to her illness. This shocking cancelation comes one week after Carey’s opening Mariah #1 to Infinity show, where she blew audiences away with an amazing vocal performance.

According to TMZ, the show was cancelled last minute and fans were notified by a sign outside the entrance to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace that read, “Tonight’s performance has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.”

Carey took to Instagram to address the last minute cancelation. She wrote, “Hey guys.. I’ve been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor’s orders. I’m so sorry to cancel tonight’s show but I promise to make it up to you!! Love you always, MC.”

No word yet if Carey will be able to perform her next scheduled show on May 16.
