Rosie O’Donnell’s estranged wife, Michelle Rounds, missed the court date they had scheduled for Tuesday for custody of their 2-year-old daughter Dakota.

As we previously reported, Rounds has publicly expressed her desire for full custody of their daughter, saying she doesn’t want her child raised by “24/7 nannies" like she is right now.

People reports she had a valid reason not to show up to court – Dakota had a 104.3 fever.

O’Donnell found out that Rounds wouldn’t be able to make it after she was already there. She was seen exiting out the back entrance of the New York City courthouse with the help of security.

O’Donnell announced she and Rounds split in February after two years of marriage. When making the announcement, she quit her job at The View.

Rounds has said she will forgo her pre-nup “if Rosie will give me full custody.”
