Morgan Freeman lobbied for the legalization of marijuana during a recent interview, saying there’s many uses it for it other than smoking it recreationally.
The actor thinks it should be legalized “across the board,” noting his first wife introduced him to it years ago and he’s never turned back.
In an interview with the Daily Beast, Freeman said "I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana.”
He went on to give more examples of why he thinks it should be legalized, explaining, "They're talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they've discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life.”
Freeman, who has been vocal about this belief in the past, also joked he will consume marijuana any way possible.
“How do I take it? However it comes! I'll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it!" he laughed.
In 2012, he wondered why it wasn’t legal, citing the amount of money that could be made on taxing it. “We could make zillions, just legalize it and tax it like we do liquor. It’s stupid,” he has said.
