The Philadelphia Eagles signed former USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor on Thursday.
According to NFL.com, the deal is for four years and $9.377 million. There is a $5.1 million signing bonus and the deal has $8.8 million in guaranteed money. The deal does have an option for a fifth year. The Eagles have four of their six draft pick under contract. Third-round pick Jordan Hicks and sixth-round pick JaCorey Shepherd are the Eagles unsigned picks.
Agholor was the 20th overall pick in the draft. He was the fourth receiver to be selected. In two seasons at USC he had 179 catches for 2,571 yards and 20 touchdowns, according to Fox Sports. He also returned four punts for touchdowns. Agholor is the first USC receiver to be drafted in the first round since Mike Williams in 2005, the Los Angeles Times notes. He will compete for a starting wide receiver spot. He could also play in the slot position.
The Eagles begin their rookie minicamp on Friday.
