Ryan Reynolds might be the sweetest superhero ever.
The 38-year-old, who is on set filming the latest superhero movie Deadpool made a little boy’s dreams come true by meeting the Marvel comics character.
According to People Magazine, Tony Acevedo, a young boy battling Hodgkin’s Disease, asked the Make-A-Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool.
Reynolds posted the adorable photos from Acevedo’s visit to his Instagram account and it looks like Acevedo was happy to meet Deadpool!
The actor can be seen in full Deadpool attire talking with Acevedo, who is wearing his own Deadpool mask and gloves. Acevedo even got a hug from the superhero.
"Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile...and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed," Reynolds said in his caption. "Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants. Huge thanks to @makeawishamerica."
In the original Marvel comic books, Deadpool’s alter ego, Wade Wilson, also battles cancer, as noted by E Online. His main super power is his accelerated healing factor.
Reynolds first played Deadpool in the 2009 film X-Men: Origins. The highly anticipated standalone film for the comic book world’s most popular “anti-hero” is set to hit theatres February 12, 2016.
