Scott Stapp of Creed has been going through many private and public ordeals and is now explaining that he has been diagnosed with biopolar disorder.
Stapp opened up about his trying times and diagnoses in an interview withPeople magazine. Stapp's issues were made public back in late November when he released a series of videos that explained that he was “under some kind of vicious attack.”
As previously reported, Stapp also lost custody of his children during this trying time.
Now it appears that these actions and other odd behaviors were a result of a psychotic break. "I had a psychotic break that was brought on by alcohol and drug abuse," explained Stapp. "I was hallucinating. I drove around the United States for a month, following an angel that I saw on the hood of my car."
"In my delusional thinking, I thought my family was involved in ISIS, and that millions of dollars had been taken from me to support terrorism. All of it was nonsense. I was out of my mind."
Stapp is now moving forward with working on his sobriety and is in a program. He is also seeking help for his bipolar disorder and is currently on medication to help manage the illness.
