Sofia Vergara opened up about the embryo drama she’s currently in because of her ex-fiance, Nick Loeb, wanting to use the two they have left together to become a father.
Vergara appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show on Monday and defended her decision to keep the embryos frozen indefinitely, even after Loeb filed a lawsuit against her and has called it “tantamount to killing them."
The Modern Family star said Loeb knew what he was getting into when he signed a contract "two times," which stated both parties need to agree to fertilization. The first time he signed the contract they did attempt to get pregnant via a surrogate, but she miscarried.
“More than a mother, [a baby] needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other,” she also said, saying it would be “selfish” to have a baby under these circumstances.
Vergara is confident a judge won’t side with her ex, stating that’s what legal contracts are for. “I’m doing the right thing,” she said.
