Sofia Vergara described her relationship with fiancée Joe Mangianello in an interview with Redbook, where she will be featured on the magazine’s June issue cover.

Vergara told Redbook that the reason she knew Mangianello was “the one” for her was because she identified the relationship as “easy.” In the interview, she talked about how their relationship wasn’t filled with any big fights and she “realized that relationships don’t need to be so much work.”

Vergara was previously married to Nick Loeb and she also learned that in relationships, it is important to give men the opportunity to do what they want to do so the other person in the relationship doesn’t complain about having to do everything.

She also addressed the idea of having kids, since Mangianello does not have any and Vergara has a son from a previous relationship. “How am I going to say no? I tell him if we’re going to do this, we have to do it, like, now, because I don’t want to be 50 with a baby.”

As previously reported, Vergara has been dealing with legal drama after ex-husband Nick Loeb wanted to use the two embryos they froze so he could be a father.

She responded to his lawsuit saying that babies needed to have parents who got along and did not have hate toward each other, calling it “selfish” to have a baby if this were to be the case.
