A motion to dismiss murder charges against Marion "Suge" Knight has been delayed by a judge after the former hip-hop music mogul hired Michael’s Jackson molestation trial lawyer.

The Associated Press noted that Thomas Mesereauhe, who defended the King of Pop against molestation accusations, appeared in court with his new client Friday and requested the delay.

Mesereauhe replaced Knight’s attorney Matt Fletcher, who previously filed the motion for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen to consider.

As we reported, the Death Row Records co-founder has plead not guilty to killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle Sloan with his vehicle after an altercation in Compton earlier this year.

Since being jailed Knight has been battling health issues. He collapsed inside and outside the courtroom and has been hospitalized multiple times. Just two days ago he missed a court hearing because he said he was “too sick” to leave his cell.

The 50-year-old also plead not guilty to a robbery case, in which he is accused of stealing a photographer's camera back in September.
