Tonight’s finale of The Big Bang Theory starts with Amy and Sheldon kissing on the couch. It gets interrupted when Sheldon asks Amy if she thinks he should start watching the Flash TV show. Amy gets upset that this is what he is thinking about instead of her, especially since it is their 5th anniversary.
When Penny and Leonard come into the apartment, Sheldon asks for Penny’s advice about what happened. Penny explains that Amy wanted the attention on her. Sheldon still doesn’t understand the problem, saying that the attention was on her since she was the one he directed the question to.
After 24 hours, Amy still hasn’t contacted Sheldon. Penny says she has the right to be mad since they aren’t going forward in their relationship. Sheldon responds by pointing out that she and Leonard have been engaged for over a year and they don’t even have a wedding date set.
This leads to Leonard and Penny bantering about why they don’t have a date set and what they want for their wedding. They both feel that they are in a good place right now and they don’t need to rush. That is until Penny proposes that they go to Vegas and get married that night.
While Penny and Leonard drive to Vegas, Leonard confesses to Penny that he kissed a girl while he was on the research trip in the North Sea. Penny is curious as to why he decided to tell her then. He explains that he wants to go into marriage with no secrets, but Penny thinks it is because he is trying to sabotage it.
Later, Amy finally contacts Sheldon through video chat; she tells him that she needs time to reevaluate their situation. After she ends the call, Sheldon reveals to the audience that he had a ring for Amy, suggesting that he was planning to propose.
In tonight’s sub plot, Raj worries that Emily has a twisted side. She wants to do things like make love in a graveyard. Raj says that he feels like he just goes along with everything she wants because he doesn’t want to be alone. Howard thinks that he should break up with her, but Raj doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. Raj compares it to him and Bernadette not wanting to ask Stuart to move out.
While at the graveyard drinking wine, Raj tells Emily they need to talk. At the same time Bernadette and Howard tell Stuart that they need to talk. Neither situation goes as planned. It ends with Raj backing down and telling Emily he loves her instead of ending it, and Howard and Bernadette singing Happy Birthday to Stuart after they learn about the occasion.
