Today is the last day of April and social media users all over know what this means. That glorious time when gifs and photos are shared with the classic phrase “It’s gonna be May,” alluding to the classic NSYNC song “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
It has been 13 years since the band split up and all five former members have gone off to do their own thing. The last time the guys performed together was during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards to sing a medley of some of their songs.
Justin Timberlake, who gained a successful solo career after the band split, recently became a father with his wife Jessica Biel, and Lance Bass got married to Michael Churchin in 2014. With the exception of Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone were in attendance at the wedding.
Even though it is unlikely the band may ever get back together, their music is still remembered and adored by fans. If the successful #itsgonnabemay hashtag doesn’t say it already, then we know the band’s hits will never be far from our memory, or a radio station.
