Tyler James Williams opened up about his potential role in a superhero universe during an interview that took place at MCM London Comic-Con. Williams was asked about the growing grassroots movement from fans online who are hoping for a live action Miles Morales film.
Miles Morales is the second person who becomes Spider-Man in the Marvel comic books. Following the death of Peter Parker, Morales acquires similar powers and starts fighting crime. Upon the news being released that Sony would be sharing the Spider-Man character with Marvel, fans wondered if Morales could be used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Williams said during an interview with Flicks and the City that he had read for Marvel and was very open to the idea of being that character.
"I'm open to the idea, I am. I'm not like starting campaigns for it because I trust Marvel. I've read for them before. So I trust what their decisions will be. But yeah, I'd love to do it. I would absolutely love to do it. I think there are a few names in the hat that absolutely do make sense. Kind of who is the best for it. I'd be stoked to do it," said Williams.
The Walking Dead star was also asked about the need for diversity in comic book films and he leaked some information about Jaden Smith, MTV added.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about… but yeah, it’s great to see Static Shock happening with Jaden," explained Williams.
Static Shock is a D.C. character and his original name is Virgil Hawkins who has the powers based upon electricity.
