Ed Sheeran always has the best cover,s but this newest one tops the rest.
Cosmopolitan.com reports that on March 21, the “Don’t” singer made a special appearance on NBC’s special to promote ”Red Nose Day,” an event dedicated to stopping childhood poverty.
“It would mean a lot to me, it would mean a lot to thousands of kids around the world but more importantly it would mean a lot to Kermit because he’s not allowed to go back to the swamp unless he brings back the bacon,” Sheeran joked.
“Some green, some would say,” Kermit added.
The two then began to sing along to an acoustic version of “Rainbow Connection,” a song that the green frog knows very well.
As always, Sheeran nailed the cover (with the help of his friend) but this isn’t the first time he sang a song that wasn’t his own and did it with ease.
Back in February, the singer tweeted at Christina Aguilera with a cover of the 2004 hit single, “Dirrty.”
