The 2015-2016 season is still months away and we already have our first scheduling change. ABC has dumped the sure-to-fail Biblical drama Of Gods and Kings and moved FBI drama Quantico to Sundays.

Of Gods and Kings, which stars Ray Winstone, was scheduled for Sundays at 10 p.m. Quantico previously had the 10 p.m. Tuesday slot.

Deadline reports that the show received a poor reception from advertisers at the upfronts last month, which lead to network executives lowering their excitement for the show. Quantico received a better welcome from advertisers, so the hope is that it will be a better fit in the post-Oil timeslot.

Of Kings and Prophets isn’t completely dead, but it looks like it. In addition to being pulled from the schedule, the order was cut to 10 episodes and the roles of Joab and Merav could be recast. The parts were played by Tomer Kapon and Alex McGregor, respectively.

ABC still hasn’t decided what to put in the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot to replace Quantico.

It’s worth noting that this is the second straight summer with a costume drama not making the schedule. Back in July 2014, Fox killed Hieroglyph before a single episode even aired, despite being so confident in the project that it was ordered straight-to-series.
