Amber Heard had some words to say when asked about whether her dogs with Johnny Depp would be returning to Australia.

Depp faced controversy when he was accused of smuggling the couple’s Yorkshire terriers to Australia and not reporting the animals to customs. He had returned to Australia to film the fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The Agriculture Minister, Australia’s Barnaby Joyce, had threatened to have the dogs, named Pistol and Boo, euthanized.

Heard was in an interview promoting her film Magic Mike XXL when she was asked how her dogs were doing, NBC News reported.

She told the interviewer Pistol was okay and was then asked if they would be going to Australia again. The actress stated, “I have a feeling we’re going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can, thanks to certain politicians there.”

As previously reported, Depp faced the possibility of a fine and time in prison for bringing his dogs in illegally. Australia requires a permit for pets being brought into the country and they must be quarantined for at least 10 days.

Depp immediately sent the dogs back home on May 15.
