Following the end of Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher is heading to Netflix and he’s taking a That ‘70s Show co-star with him. For Netflix, this will be a test of a new format, since they have ordered 20 episodes of the new project.

The series is titled The Ranch, which will star Kutcher and Danny Masterson (who played Steven on That ‘70s Show) as siblings. Two and a Half Men co-showrunners Don Reo and Jim Patterson created the multi-camera series, reports Deadline. It will make Netflix’s second multi-cam series after Full House.

However, unlike Full House, Netflix has ordered 20 episodes, which will be delivered in two 10-episode batches in a year. Netflix has yet to try a format like this for any of its comedies, as the others - including Grace and Frankie and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - have been 13-episode seasons at a time.

The Ranch will star Kutcher as a football player who runs to his brother (Masterson) to run the family business after his career stalls.

According to Variety, Kutcher was talking about a project for CBS from Reo, Patterson and Men co-creator Chuck Lorre. However, it’s not clear if The Ranch was the same project.
