In a new interview with Vogue, Cara Delevingne is open about her sexuality and relationships. The model and actress is currently dating musician St. Vincent, real name Annie Clarke.
Delevingne talked about being confused about which sex she was attracted to and has learned that there’s a grey area there for her. In any case, she fears her “whole bunch of crazy” will come out and ruin future relationships.
Being with Clarke has helped in that respect, she said, telling Vogue, “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”
But she is still attracted to men, citing a sex dream she had about “jumping” a man in the back of a VW minivan. “It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it,” she said.
“But I have erotic dreams only about men,” she continued. “Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all.”
Her mother, Pandora, has struggled with heroin addiction for years. She’s currently writing a memoir about it.
“The thing is, if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children,” she said. “And that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”
