Chelsea Clinton revealed one of the last dresses that Oscar de la Renta made before his death was for her daughter with husband Marc Mezvinsky.

She paid homage to the late designer, who died in October at the age of 82, at the CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday night.

Clinton revealed her last conversation with de la Renta, which was about her daughter Charlotte. She called to thank him for knitting her a pink dress.

When asking about his health, she explained, “All Oscar wanted to do was talk about Charlotte — to see how she was doing, who did she look like, was she healthy, how was I feeling so soon after having given birth,” New York Magazine reports.

The daughter of President Clinton and hopeful presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, also called him a great “friend.”

“He had a remarkable combination of kind honesty and honest kindness,” she said, adding he had a “generous spirit, a generous mind, and a truly limitless heart.”
