Chris Pratt is taking back a word he used to describe the negative side effects of being overweight, saying he didn’t know the exact meaning when he said he was impotent.

As we previously reported, the Jurassic World star told Men’s Health UK he was “impotent, fatigued, emotionally depressed.”

He’s now clarifying that statement, saying he wasn’t impotent he just had a “lower sex drive” at the time he weighed his heaviest at nearly 300 pounds.

"I'm not sure I knew what 'impotent' meant when I said it," he told Access Hollywood.

"I had a lower sex drive, to be honest with you. Everything about my spirit was dull. I didn't feel great, and I think people will relate to that.”

He went on to say that the purpose for sharing his story was to give hope for those who are struggling with their weight, not to criticize.

“I don't want to ever come out against sounding like I'm talking smack about people who have issues with their body weight, or don't have issues with their body weight," he said. "To each their own, but to those who felt the way I felt at that time, there's really hope."
