Sharks didn’t just take a bite out of the Discovery Channel’s summer schedule. They ate the whole thing. The network unveiled the list of new specials that will debut in July and August as part of the first ever “Summer of the Shark.”

Discovery teased a season-long tribute to the predators of the deep in January, but just today confirmed that the main Shark Week will run from July 5-12. There will be a whopping 19 hours of primetime shark programming. More Shark Week programming will debut at the end of August.

The shows that will debut this year are:

Tiburones: The Sharks of Cuba - Now that the U.S. and Cuba have thawed relations, scientists from the two countries are working together to examine the Great White Shark population off the coast of Cuba.

Shark Planet features new footage of shark species filmed around the world with 4K cameras. This was produced with the BBC.

Alien Sharks: Close Encounter is the third special in the Alien Sharks series with scientist Paul Clerkin, who goes back to the deepest parts of the oceans to find unusual sharks.

Shark Trek follows Dr. Greg Skomal’ efforts to tag Great Whites off the Cape Cod coast. He also works in Florida to examine why the Sunshine State has become a Great White hotspot.

Monster Mako focuses on the Mako sharks, which live in the gulf of Mexico.

Island of the Mega Shark stars experts Jeff Kurr, Andy Casagrande and Dickie Chivell, who look at the largest Great Whites in the world.

Other shows include Bride of Jaws, Super Predator, Ninja Sharks, Shark Clans and Sharksanity 2. Actor/director Eli Roth is also set to host a new edition of the Shark After Dark talk show.
